Monthly Poor Box Donations

Thank you for considering a gift!​

Please consider supporting the philanthropic outreach of our church through the Philoptochos Poor Box located in the Pangari. Each month (unless otherwise noted) donations are designated for a local charity. Please make checks payable to St. Sophia Philoptochos and indicate Poor Box on the memo line.
​Gift cards are also a welcome addition!

Currently donations made to the Poor Box are being directed to the Montgomery County Foundation serving the Montgomery County community. Donations made to the Philoptochos Poor Box for the month of April benefits the Montgomery County Foundation serving Montgomery County to develop, administer and manage, under community control, funds received from public and private sources and distribute them for charitable purposes, primarily to meet local needs.  You can learn more about the Montgomery County Foundation at http://www.mcfoundationinc.org.

We have received an anonymous $500 dollar-for-dollar
​matching challenge for all April donations.
